Your EASI registration code is in the invitation email that was sent to your institutional email address by your institution's EASI investigators. This is the same email that contained the link that brought you to this website. You can find your registration code in the "How to Get Started" section of the email. It is a 7-digit code made up of numbers and letters, and looks like this: 01234ab.
Please visit the How to Take the Test section of the EASI registration page for detailed log-in instructions and tips for launching the test on your computer.
Please visit the home page of the EASI registration site and select "Resend Authorization Code" Follow the instructions to have your code re-sent to you.
Completed assessments will appear as hyperlinks under the "Completed Assessment" heading. To access your individualized score reports, click on the hyperlinks. Your reports will be in PDF format and can be saved to your computer or printed. You can also return to view them at a later point in time by logging back into the test portal.
You should receive your incentive via email within two business days or 48 hours of completing the assessment. This means that if you complete the assessment over a weekend, you will receive your reward on the following Monday at the earliest and the following Wednesday at the very latest. If it has been more than 48 hours or two business days since you completed the assessment and you still have not received your reward, please email the EASI investigator at your institution. In the subject line, please write: Waiting for EASI Reward. In the body of the email, please include your registration code. Please allow approximately 48 hours for a response.
The date of the draw is different for each institution as it depends on how long it takes for us to reach our desired sample size. In most cases, the draw should take place two to three weeks after you first receive your invitation to join EASI. The EASI investigators at your institution will notify the winners via email, and will email all other participants to let them know that the draw has taken place.
We use two separate codes - the EASI registration code and the Education and Skills Online Authorization Code - to protect your privacy. The project investigators at your institution have access to your institutional email address and EASI registration code, but not your Education and Skills Online Authorization Code. The project investigators at HEQCO have access to your registration code and Authorization Code but, because the registration site does not save your institutional email address, we have no way of identifying you personally as a participant in the study.
Your EASI registration code is a 7-digit alphanumeric code, e.g. 01234ab. Your Education and Skills Online Authorization Code is a 10-digit numerical code, e.g. 0123456789. You will only receive an Education and Skills Online Authorization Code once you read and authorize the consent form.
Yes. Once you authorize the consent form, you will receive an email containing your Education and Skills Online Authorization Code. A PDF copy of the consent form for your institution will be attached to this email.
Only participants who complete the entire Education and Skills Online assessment will receive the $10 Amazon.ca gift card and be entered into the draw. You must complete all three components-Background Questionnaire, Core Assessment and PS-TRE-to receive your reward and be entered into the draw for the grand prize and secondary prizes.
Your participation in the research is completely voluntary and you may choose to stop participating at any time. Your decision to stop participating will not affect your relationship with the researchers, your institution or any other group associated with this project.
If you wish to officially withdraw from the study, please email the EASI investigators at your institution and let them know that you are withdrawing. In the subject line, please write: Withdrawing from EASI. Please include your EASI registration code in the body of the email. In the event that you withdraw from the study, all data associated with your participation in the study will be destroyed.
Please note:
- If you decide to stop participating before you have completed the assessment, you will no longer be eligible to receive the $10 electronic gift card nor will you be entered into the draw.
- If you decide to stop participating after you have completed the assessment, you will receive the $10 Amazon.ca gift card but will not be entered into the draw. All administrative and registration data associated with your registration code will be destroyed. Your anonymous test results will still be included in the study.
When you complete the Education and Skills Online assessment and receive the email containing your reward, you will also be invited to complete a voluntary, anonymous feedback survey. The goal of the survey is to get a sense of your experiences as an EASI participant. Your survey responses will not be linked to your test results and will not impact your eligibility for any of the incentives.
If you wish to provide more thorough feedback, please contact the project investigators at your institution.
The contact information for the project investigators at your institution can be found on the consent form. You can also find their contact information here: Contact Information.
The results of the Essential Adult Skills Initiative will be published on the HEQCO website around September 1, 2018. You can visit the HEQCO website at www.heqco.ca for the most up-to-date information.
